The programme of theological studies extends over six semesters across three academic years, dedicated entirely to the study of Sacred Theology in accordance with the Apostolic Constitution Veritatis Gaudium.
The first semester focuses on introductory courses in theology together with the study of classical languages, laying a solid foundation for further theological formation.
Each academic year is divided into two semesters. The first semester runs from June to the third week of October, while the second semester begins in November and continues until the end of March.
Teaching methods vary according to the nature of each subject and include lectures, seminars, supervised study groups, and guided review of scholarly works. The academic calendar consists of approximately 200 class days, including examination days and designated study days for additional reading, research, and preparation.
After completing the six semesters of theological studies, the institute conducts a Pastoral Year Programme lasting one full academic year. This period enables students to integrate their theological learning with practical pastoral ministry.
At the end of the pastoral year, a comprehensive evaluation of the student’s academic and pastoral performance is carried out. Those who successfully fulfill all the requirements are awarded a Diploma in Pastoral Management, in accordance with Veritatis Gaudium (VG 76.2).
